Booking the trip

1. If you wish to book one of our trips - send us a message through the "Contact" page. Your email will be replied within 24 hours with detailed booking conditions and a confirmation whether there are spaces available on the trip you are interested in.

2. Non-refundable deposit of 250 USD is required for your booking to be confirmed. Payment of the balance is due 56 days before the departure date. If your booking is made 56 or less days before the departure, full payment is required at the moment of booking. Payment can be made via bank transfer or via Pay Pal.

3. After we receive full payment, you will be sent booking confirmation, trip voucher and payment receipt.

3. In order to finalise the booking you need to provide your full passport details: name as per passport (including all middle names), nationality, date of birth, passport number, issue and expiry dates. We need this information to book international train tickets and domestic flights, and to provide visa support documentation if required. Personal passport information is confidential.

4. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, you need to notify us at the moment of booking. We might ask you to obtain a medical form from your doctor confirming that you are able to participate in the trip and trip activities.

5. Minimum age of travellers is 18. All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 who is responsible for the child's day-to-day care. The ratio of adults and children travelling together must not exceed one adult per two children.

6. There is no maximum age limit, but some trips can be tough for participants 70 years old and over. It is your responsibility to obtain medical advice and medical form at least 65 days before the start of the trip.

7. Our trips are guaranteed to depart once minimum number of travellers is confirmed.

8. Cancellation by a passenger. If due to any personal circumstances you wish to cancel the trip, we will do our best to minimise cancellation fees. Nevertheless, due to the fact that all international train tickets have to be purchased in advance, following fees will apply:

​- up to 56 days before the trip start date: no cancellation fees

- 55 to 10 days before the trip start date: 30% of total trip cost

- 10 days and less: 100% of total trip cost

9. Cancellation by It's Journey Time. We may cancel a trip at any time up to 50 days prior to the departure (see # 7). We may cancel a trip at any time if due to natural disasters or political unrest we can not guarantee safety of our groups and are unable to run the trip according to the planned itinerary. In such cases full amount paid for the trip will be transferred back to you. We are not responsible for any additional expenses, including but not limited to visas, passports, travel insurance, non-refundable international flights, vaccinations etc.

10. If you wish to modify your additional services (pre/post accommodation, arrival/departure transfers), you must notify us minimum 10 days prior to the date when service is supposed to be provided. You will be charged actual hotel/transfer  amendment fees if such occur.

11. Inclusions:

- all accommodation as listed in the Itinerary

- all transportation as listed in the Itinerary

- all meals as listed in the Itinerary

- services of a Tour Leader (as described in clause 15)

12. Exclusions:

- international or internal flights unless specified in the Itinerary

- additional accommodation pre and post tour

- arrival and departure transfers

- airport taxes unless specified

- tips for local guides and drivers, porter fees

- visa and passport fees

- travel insurance

- cost of optional activities

- meals other than specified in the Itinerary

- bank transaction fees

- all personal expenses

13. Every traveller must carry a passport valid at least 6 months after the last day of the trip. It is traveller's responsibility to make sure that passport is valid, and that all necessary visas are obtained prior to the day 1 of the trip. It's Journey Time is not responsible for any mistakes made by traveller when applying for visas, or by embassies when issuing visas. 14. Every traveller must obtain travel insurance prior to the tour. For more information refer to "Health & Insurance" tab on our web site.

15. All our trips are run by experienced Tour Leaders who make sure that your journey is free from organisational and logistic hassle. Tour Leaders are able to provide general information about each destination, recommend optional activities, sights, places to eat etc. They have broad knowledge of history and customs of the countries you travel to. For most included activities we also hire local guides to provide you with more specific local knowledge. Each departure has one Tour Leader travelling with the group from 6 pm on day 1 of the trip (first group meeting) until 12 pm on the departure day of the trip.
